Greenwich Village Rainbow Bagel Tour

Go with Ben Bagel as we explore one of the most eclectic and interesting neighborhoods of New York City – Greenwich Village! Originally a small village during the time when the Dutch established New Amsterdam, we will see how it transformed itself to an artistic center of bohemian life, the times of the beatniks and the counter-culture movement of the 1960’s. Now it is a high end neighborhood retaining some of its art and music history along with the area where the gay life struggle for acceptance began.

Bagel Tour Tidbits:

Did you know? Washington Square Park was once a cemetery for the poor, and the remains of those people are still under the park pavement.

Did you know? Many famous people, artists, musicians, politicians, and others lived in Greenwich Village. Some of the names are Ernest Hemingway, the writer, Bob Dylan, Dylan Thomas, the poet, Jackson Pollack, the artist, and Eugene O’Neill.

The Lower East Side tour is about 2 hours. Please wear comfortable shoes.

Tickets must be purchased in advance!

Meet on the SW corner of Waverly Place and 6th Ave
